Group of 77 (G77)

The Group of 77 (G-77) was established on 15 June 1964 by seventy-seven developing countries signatories of the “Joint Declaration of the Seventy-Seven Developing Countries” issued at the end of the first session of the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development in Geneva. The Group of 77 is the largest intergovernmental organization of developing countries in the United Nations, which provides the means for the countries of the South to articulate and promote their collective economic interests and enhance their joint negotiating capacity on all major international economic issues within the UN system, and promote South-South cooperation for development.

Hoor Alansari is an AUS sophomore majoring in computer science.  she is also an aspiring baker who enjoys attending baking and cake decorating classes in her spare time. Hoor discovered her passion and started her MUN journey in her freshman year of high school, she participated in over 10 MUN and MC conferences. Hoor believes that Model UN conferences are a great way to enhance one’s speaking and social interacting skills while getting introduced to a whole other world of passionate debates and discussions. Hoor is extremely delighted and honored to be chairing in AUDMUN, she is willing to help all participants make the most out of this incredible experience and wishes everyone a great conference full of heated debates.

Tariq Hindash is currently in his junior year at University of Dubai, majoring in Logistics and Supply Chain Management. He has been to several conferences, and believes that MUN can greatly aid in developing a person's public speaking and research skills. This will be his first chairing experience, and he is eager to meet you all.

Having recently graduated from high school, Naya AlMikhi is eager to pursue her passion in medicine. However, this has not stopped her from taking part in several conferences due to her great interest in politics, leaving her with a wide perspective and broad understanding on model conferences and their respective procedures.
