About the Committee
The Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) is the lead organization for the endorsement of food safety. Founded in 1945, it aims to fulfill three main goals: the eradication of hunger, food insecurity and malnutrition, the elimination of poverty and the driving forward of economic and social progress for all. With headquarters in Rome, Italy, the FAO represents over 130 countries and has over 80 fully-fledged country offices around the world.

About the Chairs

Aman, born and raised in Dubai with strong Indian roots, currently studies Design Management. She is a passionate designer and writer. She participated in her first Model United Nations conference in high school and has since attended multiple MUN conferences as a delegate and head chairperson. Aman’s interests lie in topics such as equality among the genders, eradicating hunger and, cessation of terrorism. Her hobbies include photography, reading, and brewing excellent coffee.
Alijaeh was born in the Philippines and is undertaking the AS/A Level programme in The Winchester School. MUN has been an integral part of his life, having allowed him to meet individuals of different perspectives on ongoing issues: He wishes you will experience this as well in AUDMUN 2017. He was a chair for the UNESCO committee in WINMUN 2015 and a Secretary General in WINMUN 2016. Now being the Co-Chair for the Food & Agricultural Organisation committee in AUDMUN 2017, Alijaeh aims to welcome the delegates in an environment where thorough discussions and resolutions are created through the collective
efforts of all.
